Oh my heart! What in the world is going on? Who broke the news and did JYP/SM confirm the relationship? All that with my opinion here!
My goodness. I literally don’t know what to say about this piece of information that was revealed today. This news blindsided the heck out of me and it’s not because another GG’s member is dating, but the fact that Nichkhun is dating. I never expected him to reveal something this personal while being an idol, but revealing something on this caliber when he retires from being an idol. I know, he should be able to date whenever he wants to, but I just don’t see him making anything personal…public. Hopefully, you get what I’m saying.
Anyway, Sports Seoul (wow, they’re putting in work this year) broke the news about the two of them dating. It’s really no surprise to me since they revealed the Seung Gi and YonnA’s story back in January. It’s like their life’s mission to investigate who’s dating in the idol world, and for how long, and to reveal how did they start to date. Well, Nichkhun and Tiffany’s story on how they started to date is the same story that companies make to tell the public that idols aren’t dating. Confusing, right? It is to me, so basically they were friends for a long time and became close, but instead of the usual, “they’re just friends”, they decided to become a couple four months ago. Doesn’t that literally reminds you of all the “just friends” statements that companies releases to prove that they’re idols AREN’T dating beside the becoming a couple’s part? Seriously, so it’s the same statement for when they’re dating and when they’re not dating. Interesting.
“As it has been reported, Tiffany and Nichkhun have been dating for 4 months. They started off as friends and became a couple. Please watch over them fondly,” a rep said.
Another rep added, “They’ve been close since they were young… After being friends for a while, from what I know they started to date officially recently.”
It’s true that Tiffany and Nickhun are a couple… They were friends but recently become closer. Please cheer them on.”
Why do they need to mention that,” they were close friends and became closer blah blah blah,” in their statements? Is it necessary to smooth things over with their fans if they mention something like this in the statement or is it a cultural thing? I want to know because if the fans aren’t happy with their relationship then I don’t think adding that is necessary. Hey, this is just my opinion. The public doesn’t need to know HOW they became a couple, but just know that they ARE one. Anything else is just sticking their nose in their business. Just saying~
Even though Tiffany stole my very first bias in Kpop, I wish Nichkhun and Tiffany the best!
